Adjust a label design

We build your label designs for you, so most people never need this. Use it for small changes, like adding a line of text. For anything bigger, email us and we'll do it.

1

Copy a design to work on

Click Home, then Template Designer. A label design is called a template here.

  1. Click Duplicate on the design you want to change

Duplicate is the two squares. Working on a copy keeps the original safe.

  2. Give the copy a name

Click the name box at the top left and type a name your team will recognise.

One copy at a timeName and publish each copy before you make another, or the new copy can replace the last one.
2

Move or resize something

Each box on the label shows one thing, like the name, ingredients or price.

  1. Click the box on the label

Its settings open on the right.

  2. Type the new size or position

Sizes are in cm. Font size is in mm.

3

Add a line of text

For wording that's the same on every label, like "Made fresh in store today".

  1. Drag Static Text onto the label

Press and hold Static Text at the bottom of the list on the left, drag it onto the label and let go.

  2. Type your words in the Text box

Put words between <* and *> to make them bold. Use the alignment buttons to centre it.

Greyed out with a tick? That box is already on the label. Click it on the label instead.
4

Check it with your longest item

So nothing gets cut off when it prints.

  1. Open Preview content and choose Most ingredients

The label fills with your item that has the most ingredients.

  2. Look for the amber "text overflows" tag

It means the words don't fit. Make the box bigger or the font smaller until it goes. Then set Preview content back to Placeholders.

5

Publish

Nothing is saved until you publish.

  1. Click Publish

No message appears. Publish and Discard turn grey, which means it's saved.

Need a weight on the label?Add a Weight box to the design. A Weight field then appears on the item form.
